from what i read so far this book is basically about a boy named Jack who isn't very popular. prom is coming up and he needs to find a date. he's been crushing on this girl named Pamela for a while now. he's doesn't just want any girl for prom he want the perfect date. one day during lunch Pamela had asked him what time it was, of course he told her but the conversion ended in a awkward way. Jack had asked Pamela if she would go to prom with him and at first she thought it was a good idea but, ended up making an excuse on why she couldn't. now he must continue his adventure to finding the perfect one.
