A connection I have with the story The Light In The Forest is that I remember when my teacher would tell us about the pilgrims and the Indians. How they came to America for land. But in this story the white people came to take people. So then in both stories they had to fight for the land. After a long battle there is only 1 winner. This story also reminds me of other historic battles. Such as the battle of Little Bighorn. Also between the Indians and English.
