A Child Called It
By: Dave Pelzer
A character trait that I would use to describe the main character, "IT" would be resilience. Resilience means the ability to survive in any situation. In the story, "IT'S" mother abuses him a lot. She beats him all the time. She even beats him even if he didn't do anything wrong. She hits him so hard that he has bruises all over. At school, all the teachers and principles always ask what happened to him. Also, his mother starves him. If he's lucky he will get his brothers leftovers. Sometimes he even steals food from other people at school because he needs it to survive. "IT" is feeling very terrible. He is thinking what he has to do in order to continue to survive. "IT" is very lucky he is still alive.
